In 2005 Buddy started a recording project that would unknowingly impact his musical path and many others along the way. His solo project featured special guests: Tony Rice, Adam Steffey, Marc Pruett, Tim Surrett, Milan Miller, Joe McElroy, Ralph and Angie Toomey, Mark Bumgarner, Jaret Carter, Danny Bishop, Jeff Collins, Mark W. Winchester and Jon Randall. This project was instrumental in the formation of Balsam Range. The solo project was never officially released and many of the songs became the start to the Balsam Range original catalog including Caney Fork River and Burning Georgia Down. The world deserves the opportunity to hear the late Tony Rice performances as well as all these incredible guests.
